Better things may come in 2011

After receiving the 'big bang award' two years in a row, the Chosa Racing Team has been hard at work all winter coming up with the ultimate plan for the 2011 season. Yeah thats right! Cool

2009 Mid Season Update

Baraga Race – May 30th

Class Two – Pro-Stock – Tom pulls up to the staging line and purges the nitrous for the first time ever…what a great feeling just watching it do that….Tom runs his first pass and the truck is running awesome but the gas peddle cable also bends and for his 2nd pass the nitrous does not come on. He still took a 3rd place with a total time of 9.899. Tom also pulled a .560 reaction.

Class Six – Super Stock – Tom makes two clean runs and takes home a 3rd place with a total time of 11.029.

Class Eight – Women’s – Brandy was bound and determined to race better this year but it seems she is still needing the cement brick and power steering in the truck because she was disqualified for going out of bounds.

Hannahville – June 6th

Class Two – Pro-Stock – Again Tom pulls up to the line and purges the nitrous…but after coming home and weighing the bottle it turns out the only nitrous that was used was when he purged. Tom ended up 5th with a total time of 11.325.

Class Six – Super-Stock – Tom made two clean runs and took a 3rd place finish with a total time of 12.655. Tom also had fastest reaction with a .800.

Class Eight – Women’s – Brandy had two clean runs but she likes to let off all the time so she took another 5th place.

Houghton – June 20th

Class Two – Pro-Stock – Tom pulls up to the line and purges the nitrous, the lights come down and he smashes the pedal to the floor…and oh baby the nitrous is working. Tom takes home a 1st place and also had the fastest reaction time with a .601.

Class Six – Super Stock – Tom again has made two clean runs and takes a 2nd place plus fastest reaction time of a .620.

Class Eight – Women’s – Brandy finally gets her first trophy of the year. She takes a 3rd place plus she had fastest reaction of a .744.

Champion – June 27th

Class Two – Pro-Stock – This time Tom has cut tires on all fours, he pulls up to the line and purges…he slams the pedal to the floor and let me tell you that was the fastest pass ever on the Bronco. Unfortunately it was so fast that it blew the head gasket and one piston, and we were done for the day. Tom also had fastest reaction with that pass.

Glidden & Marengo 2008

The Chosa Racing Team attended races in Glidden and Marengo Wisconsin this past weekend and raced with the N.W. Mud Runners Association. At the Glidden Mud Drag the mud was pretty deep. Tom tweaked the Carburetor a little but had some problems with shift points and CrazyHorse was bouncing off the rev. limiters the second pass, but still took a respectable fourth place in Mod I. Marengo was a different story….After some light problems they decided to run one lane and in Mod I you only had one pass. Tom lined up at the staging lights and was ready to race. Crazy Horse was running strong and Tom took a 2nd place. We let our friend Jim Martin try out CrazyHorse against the cut tires, nitrous and trans. brakes and he took a 4th in Mod II, and he did an awesome job. All in all it was a great weekend, cant wait until next year!
